My name is Dora Flores Spaulding. I currently live with my family in Doha, Qatar. Have been a Librarian for four years.
I am currently working as Secondary Librarian at a school that serves children with learning differences. This has been my second job as a librarian and I have enjoyed every bit of it. When I took this job there hadn't been a Secondary Librarian for two year. In a sense I was starting the program from scratch. I have had lots of fun in expanding the Library collection, making changes to the set up the Library layout, writing Library policies and working with students to build Library and research skills.
In January I started taking technology course online. I have enjoyed learning more how to incorporate technology into library lessons and not use technology as a reward or as an add on to the lesson.
In my blog you will find samples of my classwork when I was studying to be a Librarian, lessons plans which I have created and/or adapted. As well as information which I have been collecting along the way. I hope you find information interesting and of great use.
